Requirements
Your profile.
- Completed training in the metal sector (e.g. construction mechanic, industrial mechanic, pipe fitter)
- Further training as a welding supervisor (e.g. International Welding Specialist IWS, possibly IWT/IWE, welding engineer)
- Sound knowledge of various welding processes (e.g. MAG, TIG, manual electric welding)
- Experience in the application of relevant standards and regulations (DIN EN ISO, DVS, AD 2000)
- Experience in dealing with welding documentation and test plans
- Confident handling of MS Office and possibly ERP systems

Tasks
Your area of responsibility.
- Supervision and coordination of all welding activities in the company in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO 14731, ISO 3834)
- Head of the welding department (pressure and fusion welding)
- Preparation of preliminary calculations in the area of welding and pressure welding
- Ensuring compliance with welding procedure specifications (WPS) and welding schedules
- Providing technical support to welders on welding-related issues
- Carrying out visual inspections and checking weld seams and reworking
- Assisting with the introduction of new welding processes or materials
- Assisting with the design, planning and manufacture of welded structures, fixtures and welded components
- Training and instructing welding personnel
- Monitoring the qualification of welding personnel (e.g. validity of tests in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9606)
- Documentation of welding work, tests and inspections
- Cooperation with internal departments such as quality assurance, design and production as well as with external testing organisations if necessary
- Further development of the fusion welding area through to certification of the specialised welding company
- Supervision of the area of soft and hard soldering
